Black Lives: Operas of Anthony Davis

Voice professor Carl DuPont, bass-baritone, welcomes guest artists Christine Jobson, soprano, and pianist Alan Johnson for Black Lives - A Lecture-Recital Program from the Operas of Anthony Davis. 

The program will include excerpts from Davis's acclaimed operas (X - The Life and Times of Malcolm X and Amistad) and two new works (FIVE and The Darkest Light in the Heart), all portraying momentous actions and engagements crucial to African-American lives.

This concert is FREE and open to the public.  It has been sponsored by the Chancellor's Diversity Challenge Fund.
