Niner Nation King Week is a series of programs offered each January by various campus units across UNC Charlotte to honor the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Activities include lectures, moderated discussions, film showings, sporting events, cultural gatherings and community-service projects. All are invited to attend. Events are free and open to the public, unless noted otherwise.

Volunteerism Event: Jamil Niner Student Pantry
Time: 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1:30 to 3 p.m.
Location: 1224 John Kirk Drive, Charlotte

Note: Pantry will be open to a maximum of 15 volunteers per shift. Each shift will end with a reflection and message on MLK and how it connects to the student pantry.

Note: This service project aims to rejuvenate the Student Gardens that provide food for the Jamil Niner Student Pantry and plants for botany research and art classes. Volunteers will clean up, replenish soils and add mulch to get ready for spring. Tools and refreshments will be provided.
